TEL AVIV, ISRAEL — Israeli entertainment outlet Frogi included Daniel in its weekly "Getting to Know" artist series, profiling him ahead of his debut album. In the interview, Daniel traced his start in music to age seventeen, when he got his first guitar after watching a friend play, and spoke about carefully gathering years of songwriting into his then-upcoming debut single, "Caroline."
Asked about performing in Hebrew, Daniel said he felt more at home writing in English for its universal reach, while leaving the door open for Hebrew material down the road. He also discussed performing in Liverpool — home turf of The Beatles — and named London's Royal Albert Hall as a dream stage, describing his sound as indie folk at its core with touches of electronic and pop-rock. Asked who he'd most want to duet with, he named Israeli artist Amir Dadon and childhood hero Bruce Springsteen.
